This article provided some ideas, concepts and theories that I agree with (and there were also some citations to refer to). First of all, I agree that what we learn outside of the academic arena in our every day lives impacts what we learn, (i.e. knowledge is gained through experiences). I also agree with the author that the ability to synthesize and recognize connections and patterns is a valuable skill. Regarding connectivisim, "decisions based on rapidly altering foundations" and "the distinction to draw between important and unimportant is vital", takes me back to the basics when I first started working with computers/technology back in the 1980's, which was "GIGO", garbage in = garbage out. This still holds true today.
